This position is responsible for the proper operation of a large group of Network Elements.
Duties in support of interdepartmental objectives, to include preventative and remedial maintenance, installation, optimization, building and ground upkeep, and integration of network hardware and InterconnecT facilities.
Other responsibilities include maintaining and repairing all base station equipment and transmitters; maintaining site and test equipment inventories; testing and analysing network coverage to ensure contiguous communication and network integrity and quality; updating daily logs with site-specific information; composing clear and concise reports for system documentation; and performing audits as required by local, regional, Area, Corporate or Regulatory agencies. The Technician is expected to be able to perform his/her duties with little supervision, and participate in cross functional projects as scheduled.
Entry-level Minimum:
Satisfactory completion of five credit hours in a related telecommunications or electronics curriculum, transcript require:
3-6 years recent, continuous microwave/cellular RF technician experience, preferred or combination of equivalent experience and directly related telecommunications training
Additional requirements:
Maintain valid driver's license
Comply with DOT physical requirements
Ability to work in extreme weather, high altitudes, remote areas
Minimum of five completed courses in a related electronics or telecommunications program
Associates Degree in electronic technology preferred
FCC license, a plus
IP Networking, a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
